This morning's stats & GIP

The new lilo "stupidhead" icon was made my friend [livejournal.com profile] miss_chance who still apparently has a soft spot and some time to spare for an old friend :) Thanks babe!


Well this morning was pathetic. I did The Firm's Max Cardio and Abs ... I barely made it through about 25 minutes before I just gave up. Really gave up ... sat down on the couch and fast forwarded to the Abs portion. *feh* When I do a DVD like this that so completely challenges me that I don't/can't make it through - these are the times I want to give up. I'm not going to and I'll probably run the treadmill today and do some light weights to make up for the missing 20 minutes or so....but *sigh* I am, shall we say, ~tres discouraged~.

I'm proud of you, not for any mileage or weight lifted, but because you got up and did what you planned to do.

As the others have said, some days will be better than others. Every day that you do what you planned to do as a change in your habits, as a change to your life, is a success. :) The exercise, any weight loss, any muscle tone are secondary effects to the first goal. You're changing your life, one day at a time, the only way any of us can. Today, you are a person who exercises.

And, as per usual, you've managed to distill things down to their basic essence ... yes, the point is to change things for *life* not just the short term.
