Saddest Day of Summer

Pulling out the flowerbeds that were falling apart.

It took 5 hours to get everything done. 3 hours to pull the flowers and weeds and bag them and 2 hours to do the lawn, the trimming and cleaning.

Our Garden ...

Is officially planted. Four girls, one mama, lots of seeds, lots of dirt, dirty fingers, lots of laughing, quick work.

Now begins the long wait for them to grow. Of course, this is what we have to look forward to ....

Satisfaction

There is something immensely satisfying in spending two hours getting covered in weeds and dirt - and at the end .. you can see your flower garden again :)

But my hands and fingers ... ouch
