ohgodohgodohgod thank you for posting this! i've already signed up.
and btw - who the *fuck* is in that icon. I want to go up to her, tear her damn jeans off those sweet hips and fuck her up the ass. DAMN that icon makes me hot every time i see it.
I found it ages ago. It's actually part of a larger add ... to the left of the person in the background there is another person. I saw the ad in a lesbian magazine a month or so later.
I've read someone comment that Whedon has said he was "done" with the Firefly project. I don't have a citation.
However, the word "done" has a certain flexibility when faced with the prospect of additional paychecks.
Perhaps the most reasonable option would be for somebody like Showtime to pick up the show and try to get enough subscriptions to offset the cost of production (1 Megabuck per episode, or so I'm told).
Heck, I'd join up. I've only just begun to learn to swear in Chinese.
The only problem I know if is that, unless someone has evidence otherwise, Fox Broadcasting still holds rights to the Firefly property for broadcast airing. . . that means the only available property was film rights and book rights. We could see more movement in the book direction just as we did with the graphic novels, and Joss has mentioned 2 more movies, but as for a TV show, it's Fox or nothin.
Granted, with the cast changes that occured in Serenity, I can't see myself being as hyped up about a return of the show. . . that may be just really petty but I've given it several months now and several watchings, and have to say that I just can't get back into it. *shrug*
