An insprirational family
The Dean family has collectively lost 500 lbs. It was an interestng interview this morning and they really personified that sticking together can help overcome most challenges when it comes to weight loss. I'm thinking through LJ a few of us can do the same for each other.

I am in much better shape than I was one year ago.
I may not loose much in weight however I am sure I can loose the spare tire.

Originally (18 months ago), I quit getting on the scale when I hit 275.
I have been hovering at 215 for the past 4 or 5 months and really want to get to 160ish, give or take a few lbs.

While food isn't much of an issue for me anymore, I have a hard time getting motivated for the exercise. I only do my pole dancing class once a week and that's it. I need motivation to get out to the gym.

going (mostly) lo carb due to blood sugar issues has helped a lot, I'm sure.
But I need to go to gym, and get moving to remove still more, and strengthen the bad knee. (goal is anything under 200 - size 16ish.)
I have the ipod, i have the sneakers, i have the membership that
i keep paying for.

I am also in physical therapy for my knees so that I can start doing fitness walking again -- for that I have to do a bazillion thigh and hip exercises every day (or else the PTs can tell I haven't done them LOL), so that's a start, I guess.
I've ranged between 210 and 235 for more than 10 years, and any goal beyond a 25-pound loss seems overwhelming right now, so that will be my initial goal. After maintaining that loss for a while, I'll settle on a new goal.

I figure I'll be better with smaller goals. So, right now I'm at 220. I want to be back where I was when I moved here, somewhere between 190 and 200.
I need to continue what I've done with cutting out soda, I need to start cutting out sweets. I also need to not let being around people with bad food habits affect me. I also need to continue with the getting moving thing. I've started going back to dance class and rock climbing but I need to not blow it off.

Also getting back on a better eating pattern. I've started on that and making sure that I log everything that I eat. I use Fitday.com to keep track of that. I also use it to help me keep track of my exercise. Great site.
