An insprirational family

The Dean family has collectively lost 500 lbs. It was an interestng interview this morning and they really personified that sticking together can help overcome most challenges when it comes to weight loss. I'm thinking through LJ a few of us can do the same for each other.

Changing diet

1) Ramp up the vegetable intake. I am at two servings now. I want to get it up to four.
2) Cut out animal fat especially red meat. That means steak, pork, and lamb.
3) Cut out sugary sweets in the evening.

Increating activity

I need to do this. I must do this. It hurts to do this. I need help.

You might even want to consider a higher vegetable intake than four a day. This site will calculate optimal vegetable and fruit consumption based on your age, gender, and level of physical activity.
