It's quiet ...

The house is completely silent save the soft whirring of the overhead fan and the sounds of my fingers on the keyboard. Both M & S, my 2 pre-schoolers are off to their first day of preschool. This is M's second year, so it's not as new for her, but she's been looking forward to this since we got back from Pennsic. S could hardly wait to go, so no trauma there either. They both settled in immediately - M in her class playing the "match the bug" game and S found a numerical puzzle on the floor. This is a short day -- so they'll be out at 10:45.

So, an entire hour or so of uninterrupted quiet ... so loud I can hear myself exhale ....
