To all of my friends and loves ... near and far.

Bless Us All

Life is full of sweet surpises

Everyday's a gift

The sun comes up and i can feel it lift my spirit

Fills me up with laughter, fills me up with song

I look into the eyes of love and know that i belong

Bless us all, who gather here

The loving family i hold dear

No place on earth, compares with home

And every path will bring me back from where i rome

Bless us all, that as we live

We always comfort and forgive

We have so much, that we can share

With those in need we see around us everywhere

Let us always love eachother

Lead us to the light

Let us hear the voice of reason, singing in the night

Let us run from anger and catch us when we fall

Teach us in our dreams and please, yes please

Bless us one and all

Bless us all with playful years

With noisy games and joyful tears

We reach for you and we stand tall

And in our prayers and dreams

We ask you bless us all

We reach for you and we stand tall

And in our prayers and dreams we ask you

Bless us all

Yesterday I felt okay and today I'm feeling better. The mysterious pain in my belly seems to have disappated. I'm still running on "omg ...tired", but since that is a fairly regular state of affairs in my life, I don't regard it as out of the ordinary.

We went an picked up our tree yesterday. It's a little on the short side for us, but hey, short trees need love too. Today we'll rearrange our entire main floor living space to put it in the house - but it's Christmas! The smell of real trees in the house. Pretty lights, garlands, christmas cards ... cookies! Now, I just need to get my shopping done.

Last night [livejournal.com profile] lapsedagnostic and I took the girls to the Kennedy Center to see a musical production of The Phantom Tollbooth. The Phantom Tollbooth is probably my top pick for junior fiction ever. I loved this book in 6th grade. I love it now. This musical adaptation was actually co-produced by the author, Norton Juster, so it gave it some real credibility in my book. The entire production was 1 hour, 10 minutes. It was fast paced but not frenetic or frantic. The girls all really enjoyed it, and are now looking forward to me reading the book to them. They had to leave out quite a bit - but the cast of 7 played a lot of the familiar parts and it was fun. If you're local to the DC area, I *highly* recommend catching this before it leaves the theatre.

Alright, lunch time now. What are you all up to today?

It was a good Christmas all in all. Details for the curious and interested )

Last night I was a very lucky girl and had a double date -- with da' wife [livejournal.com profile] ani_moore and [livejournal.com profile] wilfulcait and extra added bonus time with [livejournal.com profile] autox323is. Yanked all the tribal dance stuff out of the closet and sewing room. Plotting, planning and dance classes are in the offing for the new year and projects will be worked on over the weekend.

Looking forward to the weekend and the ringing in the new year with family, loves and friends.

Thank you all for a wonderful year :)

This week has been packed with various errands and jobs all related to the current holiday season. So far I've managed to bake and mail cookies to my canadian cohorts and mail a box of gifts out to my side of the family in CA. The girls are busy wrapping more presents right now and watching Harry Potter 2 (Chamber of Secrets) and I've got a load of laundry in the washer and I'm about to work more on my Christmas cards (got all the way up to "K" last time. Tonight off to a leetle holiday get together and tomorrow night probably doing BR night at the club. Sunday is a scheduled day of decadence at the spa with the lovely [livejournal.com profile] ani_moore. Hopefully will get the last of my shopping done too.

How are you all?

It used to be at Amazon.com that when you searched for someone's wishlist, you had an option of adding them as a 'friend' so that finding the wishlist would be easier next time. Apparently that is no longer the case, and indeed I can't find the people I listed that I used to view ... including my husband's *argh*

I'm off on my first major "get the darn Christmas shopping done" jaunt. ~oy vey~ Apparently I must be some kind of masochist after all ....
