Brief weekend recap
May. 23rd, 2005 11:46 am*travel time up sucked for traffic, but great for company (my 14 & 7 year old were awesome travel mates)
*arriving onsite in Pennsylvannia before dark, yay!
*the first person I ran into
much_ado and screaming in happiness
*no rain for the first time in about 4 years
*butt-f*cking cold nights requiring multiple layers of clothing and blankets
*getting warmed all over in another bed by people you love ~melt~
*walking around camp, running into friends every 20 feet, and all of them had a smile
*spending quality time with guys from the Chalkman
*pickled carrots from Canada - the *best* snack ever ... no, really
*raspberry lambic, 'nough said
*the gift of a beautiful hand embroidered tunic from
much_ado *priceless*
*arriving home to my husband and children and a hot shower ...

May. 23rd, 2005 07:13 pmthe Carter Barron Amphitheatre is doing their annual Shakespeare Free For All. This years production is a Midsummer Night's Dream, one of my many favorites. If you are local to the DC area, this is wonderful event, and it's free!. You just have to be willing to stand in line for the tickets.
