To rent or not to rent

I am going home to CA in Nov for my high school reunion *alone* ... do I

a) splurge a little and rent a convertible?

b) be practical and get a midsize for about $15 cheaper (per day)

I'm staying with family, so hotel expenses are not a factor....

So, I went ahead and reserved a convertible for the trip to CA. It's a Chrysler Sebring - because that's all they offered. I looked into renting the 2005 Mustang, but they're considered an 'exotic' rental, and the rental prices start at $110 daily - I like to splurge, but this is downright ridiculous, at least for my pocketbook.
