Update from the trenches
Apr. 13th, 2006 08:50 amWell, we're on day 4 of S being sick. Yesterday was rough - she ran a fever all day except when the Motrin was in effect. For last part of the afternoon, she alternately shivered and sweated in my arms. I finally called
lapsedagnostic and told him that dinner was going to be informal (perhaps take-out/delivery) and he offered to come home a little early. We ended up having pasta - I tried to give S some plain bread, but that came right back up. At least I had a bowl nearby and was able to hold her hair and wipe her face *poor baby*. Last night I did what I could to elevate the head of her bed and got the humidifier out. She's on Keflex for the strep, which we did manage to get into her in small sips - but as of 3am this morning she was still running a fever, so more Motrin.
This morning is better (so far) - she had some oatmeal and some water and her meds, and so far everything has stayed down. Plans for this weekend are still up in the air - but things may be looking up by tomorrow...
Oh, and I still have to reply to some questions, I haven't forgotten, just been dealing here.
