It's maddening ... is anyone else experiencing this? Any idea when it might be fixed?

My laptop has no sound. Yes, I have checked to make sure it is not on "mute" - I got nothing, nada, zip. No start up sound, no music from Itunes, nothing *sigh* Back to Dell.
