Leaving for Pennsic
Jul. 25th, 2008 06:52 amWith this quote in my mind ... I can't wait to actually see the lovely lady
dicea (and Kate!) who wrote it. It was written about a dream I had about Cait, but it really applies to a lot.
For ever and ever, as long as there has been Pennsic, there has been
one rule: You will start off wandering and visiting with one person or
group and end up with a totally different group, unsure of how it
happened, and still happy and safe and all together.
90%
of my awake time at Pennsic has been spent in looking for someone. I've
seldom found that person without finding many other people along the
way. Most of those people were also looking for people.
If she's
slipped off at Pennsic, she is still with you. She is, even as we
speak, visiting at someone's fire or looking at pretties in the market.
We can't see her at the moment, but as we keep looking and knowing that
she is here, we will meet many other people and share some of what we
have of her within us with each of them. They will do the same for us.
When
we're at Pennsic, we're all at Pennsic. Some of us are harder to see or
find than others, but that is when we are all really together.
Sometimes when someone is there we can't see him or her, but we know so
strongly that we keep turning to look. Seeing is not proving, but
knowing is knowing.
Love you dearheart
Love you all.
Be good, play safe, I'll check in periodically from Mystic Mail. Raise a glass on my birthday (because I know I will be) and I'll see you all in a couple weeks!
