Yesterday afternoon I left for a birth rather abruptly so as to beat afternoon traffic on 95 South. I got there and she was still smiling, so I settled in to wait. By 7:30pm last night, it was decided I should head home 'til they called me back. The following phone call came about 9:30 last night, so I headed out again - only to find her still pretty chatty. By 1:00am I was falling over - so I got a quick snooze in from 1 to 2:30, when I was awoken to "things are happening" ...except...well ... not so much. She fell asleep this morning about 4:20, so by 5:15 or so, when she wasn't even waking much for the contractions, I tried to sleep again from 5:30 'til about 7:45am. And now, I'm home, because nothings happening. So now that I've had shower I'm gonna crawl into bed and hope the phone doesn't ring for a few hours.

I love my job (most of the time), but the hours? *teh suckage*
