and if all backed up an dnot just one there is trouble you mite need to get a plumber to put a snake down your dran it mite be tree roots.or you can rent one wich is cheper and you can do it. this happins to me at lest every other year.
I'm in a condo, bottom floor. Third floor leaks and I now have $700 worth of damage. Third floor owner died last week. Second floor owner died at Christmas. I get to pay all the plumbing bills. Fun.
That sucks. You guys are on a Sewer system, right. Seems strange that they would all clog unless something was happening with the vent or mainline. Once the Sager avenue denizens had a squirrel deposit a walnut in the main vent. It was lodged in such a way that it almost, but not quite blocked things causing issues with flushing and drainage in general.
I hope that its ok now.
I had my own new excitement Saturday when I was trying to level my old kitchen cabinets. One basically disintegrated. Thus, new kitchen base cabinets, countertop and sink.

Or realize that the furnace is not running on the coldest day of the winter.
*hug*
On the whole, though, I'm still happier living in my own house than I was in an apartment.
