Isn't it cool when your best friends are amazing artists *cough*
wilfulcait *cough* and they are willing to share their knowledge and their nifty toys with you.
Today I went up to visit with
wilfulcait and she convinced me it would be a good day to learn how to play with glass. We lit up the big torch, donned safety glasses and a cool leather apron and these are the results of my first efforts .. I'm so pleased.
*clickety, clickety on the picture if you want to see more*
The green & yellow bead on the left was my first, the purple with white my 2nd bead, the third bead was crimson and yellow and did not survive and the last bead was a solid red with a black overlay and it also did not make it - but still pleased as punch with my first efforts.
Also, I think this is the beginning of a real apprenticeship with
wilfulcait. Scared? Yup, a bit, .... Excited?.... you bet!
