This is what I'll be seeing tonight

Ignoring the ads for the Hollywood theatre, this is a sampling of the the gals we'll be seeing tonight at Bellydance Superstars at the Birchmere. The second solo dancer is Rachel Brice who is the most awesome bellydancer I have ever seen.

Is theoretically going to be Sharon Kihara; I don't know that Rachel is at tonight's show, but if she is, I may die of squee. :)

Sharon is equally amazing, however; I am hoping and praying I get into Mardi Love's class at Tribal Fest, and if I don't make that one, I want to sign up for the January class she's doing here.

(Rachel's doing a one-week intensive here in January that I want desperately to take, but haven't the leave, really. DAMNNE.)

Sadly Rachel isn't touring with them anymore.. but the tribal dancers that will be there are amazing.

A friend of a friend who saw them earlier this year. Plus Rachel's site lists Sharon as the featured dancer for this tour and then Rachel back on for the early '07 tour.

OK you're right, she's awesome. On the other hand, how totally ME is it that my first two thoughts on the video are "ooh, nice hair!" and "I want to SHOOT whatever idiot did the lighting such that a big shadow falls across her face."
