I found this from last year and thought it was a good list again for this year :)
10 things that make me happy in no particular order ....
1. baking and it's associated scents
2. listening to my children laugh
3. hearing someone (esp. family) speak German
4. crab legs and butter
5. time spent with my loves & friends
6. laughing 'til I can't breathe with Q
7. sunshine
8. sushi
9. really great sex
10. books & music
I'd tag 5 people, but I want all of you to respond :)

Date: 2006-12-07 05:19 pm (UTC)Oh, good. Otherwise I'd have to wonder about really great sex being so low on your list.
My list (in approximate order):
1. Really Great Sex
2. Playing Bridge
3. Helping someone grow/improve
4. Eating a good meal with friends.
5. Laughing with friends
6. Making something with my hands
7. Ego Strokes
8. Discovering a connection with someone
9. Sushi
10. Decent Sex
I was tempted to put "Being in love" on the list, but I can be happy without being in love and I can be unhappy while still being in love.
And yes, Sex gets mentioned twice.

I know you're familiar with the concept of NRE. Well, having friendships is also a type of energy.
In order for this energy to be transferred back and forth between people, there has to be a connection.
That's the connection I'm talking about. That moment when the connection happens, or when I've realized that a connection has taken place.
