Yes, in fact I would really enjoy that. A lazy afternoon. Lots of chatting about interesting fan fic and lots of scrumptious hair petting.
I'm curious what you could have done in the past to make you believe the wacky folks on your lj wouldn't accept it as 'the past'. Do you feel what happened was really that bad, or are you just tired of judgemental pricks?
Well, as a start , I don't trust anything to the internet that I'm not willing to have come back and haunt me at a later date. The other thing is I'm not that close to everyone on my LJ that I would consider laying out my life story for whatever reason. Is what I have to say relevant to anything in particular or would it look like I was attention whoring? (which BTW, I really, really dislike). So, I'll write it out if it's important to remember, or if I think sharing it may do some good.
You asked if I feel like 'what happened' was really that bad. If the 'what happened' is my past, then the answer is No, I don't feel all that bad about it. I've made some choices that I would not make now at this point in my life, but every experience I've had has formed who I am now. Am I tired of judgemental pricks? Oh, ab-so-fucking-lutely. I no longer have a desire or the patience level to deal with folks who will look at any one single thing (or set of things) and decide who I am, or what motivates me. Generally if someone wants to get to know me, I'm pretty much an open book.
When do you think I might see you and the family come down here?
This year if I can manage it. I miss you so much!
What is the best way for someone to make you feel appreciated?
I love it when someone says "thank you" and means it. Little moments of thoughtfulness like a note or a letter. Having someone notice something and doing it (either for me, or with me). This is a hard question for me to answer. I'll think on it some more.
