I had an lovely dinner last night with

russell_moore and lots of delicious conversation -- and then he sent me off with a squeeze and a smile to see the Bellydance Show at the Palace of Wonders ..... OMG - they were fierce, and fun, and awesome. Support your local bellydancers, come out to more of the tribal stuff around the DC area ... if you don't, you are missing out!

I'm off to WV this weekend to see

belthazar_b and go to the WVU vs. PITT game on Sat night! w00t! Be back Sunday ....

Last night was date night with da' wife. We had a lovely sushi dinner, followed by girly things. Manicures and eyebrow waxing and *oouucch* - why didn't anyone warn me about how much it hurt? Ani took some gleeful pleasure in the eye-watering evil looks I gave her afterwards. Said it was payback for taking her to watch Rent with me last year (and making her cry). Now I have to find some other stealthy chick-flick to take her to and make her cry. Awww ... we're so ... weird.

Afterwards there was bellydancing. I'm liking the ATS style, but it's like learning a new language - trying to get my body to do things that look easy, but in reality require a bit of practice and concentration. Well, by Pennsic I should definitely have my groove thing on.

Today is a snow day with the kids - should be interesting.
