(edit) on second thought, shooting is too easy, I think they should be mangled, mashed, pulverized, pureed, beaten, scorched, blasted, pummeled, stomped, crushed, thumped, bush-whacked, trounced, vanquised, clobbered, shafted, screwed, and eliminated.
